Garden Centres

Wyevale

Strand Lane, Barnstaple EX31 4BW, UK – 0844 288 5015

Many car parking spaces and bike racks. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Lovely displays of products. Some good deals highlighted. Airy and light restaurant with display of cakes and breakfast. Vegetarians catered for. Gluten free snacks available. Had a very tasty coffee! Would recommend a visit.

Superb garden centre. Plenty of choice. Staff always happy to help and order anything. Sean has dealt with me most efficiently. Got lots of superb plants for my garden over a year ..all done well. Points system also works well.

St John's Garden Centre

St John's Ln, Barnstaple EX32 9DD, UK – 01271 343884

Great place for adults and kid's, as there is Jungle Land which is sort of a mini jungle with some wildlife. There is a wide range of plants, with an exceptionally large outdoor range of plants and goods. I would definitely recommend going to St John's near Christmas as they have beautiful decorations and displays. The only bad thing would be that some of the prices are a little high.

Beautifully set out, lovely restaurant, all your gardening and plants needs. Beautiful selection of healthy plants. Tends to be a bit overpriced but definitely worth a visit

B J's Value House

Seven Brethren Bank, Barnstaple EX31 2AS, UK – 01271 327966

I went in and done a shop. The man there looked at me. He said I was pretty. I bought a towel for my head but it did not fit so I use it to clean up cat droppings. I will go back and buy more when this one gets mucky. My house doesn't smell and I don't know why my neighbor said that. The council woman came round and said I was dirty. She was nice like the man in the shop. I don't know I try to keep it clean. I want it clean for when my uncle comes home. I haven't seen him since Christmas so he must come home soon. It's hard on my own and I get scared sometimes. The parking is plentiful with disabled and parent and child spaces too.

I've shopped in BJs for almost 30 yrs. They were one of the first bargain stores and have consistently sold economy household goods throughout this time. I imagine almost every resident of Barnstaple and surrounding has stocked their kitchens and gardens from here. Every year they send out vouchers to local addresses offering a free grow bag and a free bedding plant pack. Just turn up and collect. 🌻😊 I buy all my compost and seeds here because they are the cheapest in Barnstaple. There's also a good selection of shrubs, trees and seasonal plants. There's also a good range of storage boxes, cookware, pet food and paints as well as garden seating, art supplies and snack foods. The staff are always cheerful and the boss can be found in store moving items alongside staff rather than staring at them from a mezzanine office like large competitors. I've never heard a bad word said about BJs unlike many other shops & stores.
